Most travellers will come via Airlie Beach (it is known as the gateway to the whitsundays for a reason)
Greyhound bus and premier bus both service the area and will drop you off at the marine terminal a short stroll from airlie beach main street!

You can also fly into hamilton island - transfer by ferry to airlie beach
or fly into proserpine airport and catch the shuttle for around $20pp.
