Day One
• Your Course begins with a shuttle from your Cairns City accommodation*,
pick up is at 9:00am.
• First things First its time to meet your Instuctor and Start Paperwork
• To ensure you don't need a medical certificate, we collect basic medical information and check your BMI.
• Next we hit the books its time to learn to dive
• Lunch is not included, however we do have various amenities close to our classrooms for the Lunch Break.
• Now the Fun Starts - lets get wet! Here we learn our dive skills in the Pool
• Before we finish for the day, there's just enough time for a treading water test, 10 minutes and then Day One is complete!
• At approximately 5:30pm our shuttle bus will return you to your city accommodation
Day Two
• Cairns city accommodation collection, pick up is 9:00am.
• Straight into the pool to start the Day! If we didn't complete it in Day One, it’s time for your swim test: a continuous 200m swim.
• Then it’s time expand on our dive skills!
• Again, lunch is not included, however we do have various amenities close to our classrooms.
• After lunch we finish and review the SCUBA theory, finishing with a final multiple choice exam.
• At approximately 5:30 pm our transfer bus will return you to your city accommodation.
Get a good nights rest! Tomorrow is the real deal!
Day Three
• Today starts nice and early at 7:30am to check in at the dive centre.
• Once checked-in we will shuttle you to Cairns marina and our Day trip vessel SeaQuest.
• During the 90min cruise to the Outer Reef your instructor will fully brief the itinerary of the day.
• Arriving at the reef we 'gear-up', conduct our SCUBA safety procedures, and enter the water for our first Open Water training dive.
• Lunch is provided, a tropical buffet with cold cut meats, salads, and pasta.
• Dive 2 sees us refining our skills both on the surface and underwater as well.
• Now it’s time to get your snorkel skills up to scratch, slap on the sun tan lotion and explore the beautiful, shallow reef cays.
• It's 2:30pm, we pack up all our toys, have a quick freshwater shower, grab a refreshment, and watch the sea go by.
Just a 90min cruise back to Cairns, and at approximately 4:45pm our shuttle bus will return you to your city accommodation.
Day Four
• Pick-up is at 7:30am, for check in and then transfer to Seaquest
• During the 90min cruise to the Outer Reef your instructor will fully brief the itinerary of the day.
• Arriving at the reef we 'gear-up', conduct our SCUBA safety procedures, and enter the water for each of our last 2 Open Water training dives.
• Lunch is provided, a tropical buffet with cold cut meats, salads, and pasta.
• Dive 4 and time to put the final polish on our underwater skills. Congratulations, you are now a certified PADI Open Water Diver!
• Time for your first certified dive, put all your new skills to practice in your first Fun Dive!
• It's 2:30pm, time we pack up all our toys, have a quick freshwater shower, grab a refreshment, and plan your next dive as you watch the sea go by. Just a 90min cruise back to Cairns, and at approximately 4:45pm our shuttle bus will return you to your city accommodation.
